Interiors

You don’t need much to change up your home for the different seasons. Adding simple greenery on a mantle, for example, can totally transform your room for the holidays- include garland, clippings from your Christmas tree, and magnolia leaves and berries from your yard to create a cost-effective, easy to put together mantle-piece!

Tablescaping

The greenery in the Fall/Winter months makes it easy to create beautiful tablescapes- how gorgeous is this eucalyptus and white rose centerpiece?! We love the contrast of the matte black, gold and green together.

Get to Know: Musee

Can you believe Thanksgiving has already come and gone?! We definitely can’t. With Thanksgiving behind us, it’s now time to start planning for the rest of the year’s holiday festivities and getting serious about our gift lists. We have a new brand in the shop that’s a great addition to any relaxation lover’s list: Musee.

musee

Musee is company based out of Madison County, Mississippi that creates handmade, all natural bath balms.

While a lot of bath products contain artificial fragrances and ingredients that aren’t so friendly to your skin, Musee’s bath balms are made from all natural ingredients, aromas and oils. For example, one of their balms, Whiskey Lullaby, is made from Sesame oil, lemon and eucalyptus essential oils, pacific sea salt, rose hips, ginseng, & vitamin C. Soothing to your skin and to your senses- is there really anything better?

Another thing that’s cool about their balms is that some of them contain a little surprise inside, making them perfect for bath time for the kids!

musee

We love this excerpt from their site, explaining what Musee is really all about: “The muses from tales of long ago brought inspiration through the gift of song and lyric. Musee bath balms remind us to enjoy the simple pleasures in life that serenade the heart and comfort the soul – good books and long naps, fireflies and bonfires, handwritten letters and unexpected presents, a spring rain or the first snowflake of winter, owls on fences and wise people – and especially….hot baths and cool tunes.”

We hope you’ll stop by and check out what Musee products we have in the shop! They make great stocking stuffers or hostess gifts for the upcoming holidays 😉

Trending: Tassels

We have been all about tassels lately and we’re not ashamed! This trend has been popping up everywhere, from home decor to fashion. Tassels come in a variety of sizes and colors, and create a fun visual and textural element to any item. Take a look at some of our tasseled faves!

As opposed to the more vibrant colors you see in Summer, the muted tones in these tassels are perfect for Fall.

But of course, it’s always acceptable to have a fun pop of color anytime of the year 😉

We love the added texture that tassels bring to a piece of furniture, whether folded on your bed or draped over a sofa or chair.

Bold Entryway Wallpaper Inspo

Who else is loving this Fall weather?! We’re really starting to feel the crisp air here in Charlotte and we’re taking advantage of every minute of it! Ok, onto our post for the week. We’re going to dive into a part of the home that is sometimes, but should never be, overlooked: the entryway.

The entry is the first taste of your house, so you want it to make a statement. Think of it as an introduction to what the rest of what your home’s design is all about. One great way to achieve an eye-catching entryway is with a bold wallpaper. There are so many different types wallpapers available, making it easy to find one that meshes with the style of your home.

Take a look at some inspiration below of some of our favorite wallpapered entryways:

For the neutral lover:

We liked these papers because they provided a subtle pattern without being too in your face.

Touches of Gold:

Pull out the other touches of gold throughout your house with a stunning gold wallcovering in your entryway (like one of these beauties!)

Graphic Goodness:

We’re obsessed with these bold, graphic entry wallpapers- they make such a statement!

Subtly Bold:

If you love the idea of a bold color in your entry, but aren’t a fan of big, graphic patterns, try a grasscloth in a moody color. The texture provides more of a visual interest than just paint.

As most entryways aren’t as big as a standard room, wallpaper is an affordable way make a bold statement for when you first walk into your home. If you’re interested in adding a wallcovering to your entry, come visit the shop and we’ll help you pick the perfect one! Have a happy Thursday 🙂
