There’s a pillow party going on in the store right now and we are certainly not complaining! We have lots of new arrivals from some of our favorite brands like Eskayel, Bunglo, Rebecca Atwood, Susan Connor, and more. Take a look below at some of our favorites that we have in now!
Beautiful details in the patterns of Susan Connor’s designs..
We love how Rebecca Atwood’s pillows incorporate two different designs for the front and the back- she adds a strip of the front fabric to the beautiful linen on the back which really creates beautiful visual appeal. This allows you to use both sides of the pillow instead of having to just see a plain back side.
All of the pillows above can fit in a variety of different spaces and mesh with many styles, and we love pairing different styles together for a fun, eclectic look! As we constantly preach, pillows are an inexpensive way to make such a huge impact in a room. If you need help picking the perfect pillow to finish off your space, bring in a picture and let us help! We also have tons of fabric and trim samples and can create a custom pillow design for you. Happy weekend! 🙂
Ever wondered how you could make the shelves in your home look like the ones styled by your favorite designer? We’ve gathered some of our favorite styled bookshelves below for some inspiration, as well as a few tips to guarantee stylish shelves.
If you’re a big reader and have a solid collection of books, use those! If you’d rather have some of your favorite art and objects on display, those are great, too. Can’t decide between the two? Mix it up! Using a combination of your favorite books, art, objects from around your home, and even a few plants gives an eclectic, yet collected look that expresses your personality & interests, as well as being candy for your eyes 😉 Let’s take a look at a few examples of these three different ways to style your bookshelves.
For the literature lovers: If you choose to fill your shelves primarily with books, that’s great, but it can easily look very static. Try stacking your books different ways (horizontal & vertical) for shelves with more movement & appeal.
If you have enough books lying around and color coordination is your thing, now’s your chance to go crazy
For the object lovers: If you don’t own a lot of books, or you have a lot of nice art and trinkets that you’d like to show off, here are some examples for you
Always remember- the phrase ‘less is more’ definitely applies to this sort of styling. It’s ok to see some white space!
For the mix & match lovers (and our favorite style):
We love the pops of color and pattern you can achieve by adding a couple of small vases & plants in your shelves.
Your vintage items that have just been sitting in the basement or in storage may now have a home- adding a few of these pieces is a great way to add character to your shelves!
Again, try stacking your books both horizontal & vertically for more visual appeal. If everything on your shelves are feeling like they’re all on the same level and you find yourself lacking taller objects, try stacking a couple of books horizontally and adding an object on top- this is a great way to fill up that empty vertical space.
If you get a wild hair this weekend and decide to style your own shelves, tag us in your pictures- we’d love to see! For more tips & tricks, check out this article by Emily Henderson. Remember, there’s no right or wrong way to style your shelves, so go on and let your personality shine.
Every so often, we at Isabella go through spurts where we’re really drawn to one particular color, and right now…we’re seriously crushin’ on blush. We just can’t seem to get enough of this soft pink hue! Whether it’s in the fabrics and samples we have in the studio, or products that we have in the shop, our eyes just seem to gravitate towards it. Take a look at our color crush inspiration below, and we’re sure you’ll be crushin’ too!

A great thing about this hue is that if it’s muted enough, it could definitely be considered a neutral [as seen in this super chic room below]

Mother’s Day is this weekend! If you haven’t gotten a gift for the mother(s) in your life, we’re here to give some suggestions. No matter what she likes, you can’t go wrong with at least one of these picks! Take a look:
Scents are always a strong mother’s day gift option. Who doesn’t love it when their space smells nice? If you’re worried about whether or not she’ll like a particular scent, go for an option that’s not too overwhelming (we like Bamboo from Nest and Fig Leaf from Antica Farmacista for scent options that aren’t too strong). Ask us when you’re in the shop & we can help with scent selection!
Add that candle or diffuser to a bath / body product and you’re basically set! We love everything that Rica Bath & Body offers and our favorite Royal Apothic hand cremes.
Beautiful hand towels to freshen up her kitchen or bathroom are another great option..
And you can’t go wrong with pajamas- B.Up PJs are super soft and come in many different styles!
Stephanie Johnson pouches are perfect for a mom that’s on the go- these stylish & versatile carryalls are great for sticking in your purse or suitcase for extra storage and organization, or to be carried by themselves as a clutch!
What mom wouldn’t want a cute frame with a picture of you and her inside?!
Our favorite cocktail napkins for your favorite ‘whino’
And last but not least, home accessories. Trinket jars, catch-all trays & bowls, decorative storage boxes & these beautiful porcelain flowers are all great options if your mother is into home decor.
We hope this has given you a few ideas if you’re still searching for the perfect Mother’s Day gift! Stop by the shop any day this week; we’d love to help you pick out the perfect item for this special occasion!
