High Point Fall Market Recap
Comments Off on High Point Fall Market Recap

We headed to High Point for fall market this past weekend and oh man did we find some good stuff! From our go-to brands to other vendors that we don’t always frequent, everyone had beautiful pieces. Unfortunately, we can’t bring home everything we love, but we always pick our favorites (and most of all, the pieces that we think all of you will like the most!) and those are the pieces that end up finding a home in the shop. Take a look below at our market faves and to get a sneak peek of a few items soon to be at Isabella!

This amazing new fixture from Mr Brown is available in white with brass or silver hardware! We love how the different combination of shapes transforms this otherwise simple white light fixture into something special. This beauty will be available in the shop this week!

The other is Ave Home; they have classic pieces (like seen below) available in RAW for a custom finish!

*Side note– Are you noticing a color theme here? Lots of neutrals all around with brass and blush accents thrown in. We’re certainly not complaining!

New lighting from Palecek lighting- a great neutral option

We picked up a few pieces of art from local artist Windy O’Connor, and saw these pillows while there…SO pretty.

Get to Know: Walter G

We have a new textile brand in the shop that you’re going to love…and it goes by the name of Walter G. Let’s learn a bit about them!

This Australian-owned and Sydney-based brand was founded by two best friends, Lauren Emerson and Genevieve Hewson.

walter-g-designers-small

Lauren and Genevieve spent two years traveling extensively together to places such as India, South America and Vietnam, learning as much as they could about the textiles and techniques of these regions while they were there. They even spent 6 months living in India living in remote villages, immersing themselves in the arts of indigo and block printing. How cool is that?!

They made their debut at Life Instyle in Sydney in 2012, and the rest is history.

The owners describe their brand as “lived-in, imperfect, timeless, relaxed, and artisanal”. They design all of their patterns and develop them right alongside a team of Indian artisans, and all of their textiles are completely hand-blocked, which is so awesome.

They offer fabrics, pillows, and table linens. Take a look at some of the different patterns available!

Pillows:

Fabrics: they offer their different fabrics in canvas, cotton and linen.

Table linens: (absolutely adorable and perfect for a beach house!)tl

Their fabrics are very versatile and can be easily mixed in with different styles to create a stylish, casual look, and this is just a glimpse of the patterns they offer!

There’s some pretty great info on their website regarding the indigo and block printing processes that are used to create their products. Definitely worth checking out!

We’re so happy to have Walter G’s beautiful textiles in the shop, and we hope you’ll stop by to see them!

Favorite Fall Finds

We all have our go-to items when a new season begins. Whether it’s a cute pair of sandals for summer, a cozy throw for Fall, or an abundance of candles for Winter, there are sometimes where it just doesn’t feel like a new season until you have this one particular thing. For us, Fall doesn’t officially begin until we’ve burned our first pumpkin chai candle and the sweaters come out. Thankfully that time of year is here! We’ve rounded up a few extra items that we’re crushing on this season that would really take your Fall game to a whole new level. Take a look below at some of our favorite Fall finds for this beautiful season!

  1. Warm neutrals and muted Fall tones are great decor additions for this season, no matter what your style. We especially love these two pillows from Rebecca Atwood and Lacefield- they make such are a great pair!
  2. Faux fur throws…need we say more. They’re so luxurious and perfect for snuggling up with next to a fire as the nights get cooler.
  3. The weather is perfect right now for outdoor entertaining, and when there’s entertaining there are drinks to be held, and napkins needed for said drinks. Why not make these necessities cute?! August Morgan has got you covered in the cocktail napkin department.
  4. If you like giving your wardrobe a refresh for the new season, we love this combo (lace dress, teal clutch, and lace-up booties) from Anthro. The colors are perfect for Fall!yIf you’ve visited the blog before or know any of us personally, then you most likely know of our obsession with Nest Fragrances, especially Pumpkin Chai. It’s seriously the best pumpkin candle you’ve ever smelled.
  5. We love the look of a loose antler on top of a stack of books, or even just placed on a mantle or bookshelf.
  6. An extremely easy (and cheap!) way to spruce up your home for any season is by replacing your bath or kitchen towels. We love these longhorn and arrows towels for an easy Fall bathroom update.

Most of the items on this list are available at or through the shop, so head on over to find a fall fave! What are some things you have to have when the seasons are transitioning? We’d love to know!
