Wallpapered Ceilings

Wallpaper: it’s not just for walls people! A ceiling is a surface in your home that may get overlooked during an initial design, but that shouldn’t be the case. Wallpapering your ceiling can give added personality to a room where there may not otherwise be much going on. If you’re looking to spruce up your space, consider adding extra color and pattern to your room with wallpaper on the place you least expect it- above you. Check out these gorgeous examples of wallpapered ceilings to see for yourself!

The neutral palette in this room is beautiful by itself, but it’s given more visual interest with the use of this oversized malachite paper on the ceiling:

Love the added bit of color & pattern that this paper brings to this space:

Gallery Wall Inspo

Happy Friday! If you’ve got an empty wall somewhere in your house and no weekend plans, this post is especially for you. Gallery walls are such an easy way to cover a lot of wall space and make a big impact in a room. The ways that you can arrange your art & wall decor are limitless- each gallery wall is different depending on the space it needs to fill. Whether you’re wanting to make this a weekend project, or just get inspired for future projects, keep on reading for some of our favorite gallery wall installs!

These collections work in any room in your house. They’re seen often as a focal point in living rooms:

Or making a grand entrance in an entryway:

And are a great option for an empty stair wall!

Although gallery walls are often seen in a random assortment, they don’t always have to be! Depending on the space you’re trying to fill, a layout with more order to it may be ideal. We love the grid gallery walls in these rooms- they fit the space so nicely and give such a clean aesthetic:

Again, it’s important to design for your space. Sometimes it’s best to just use 4-5 items so as to not overcrowd.

Gallery walls aren’t just for photos people! Add sconces, decorative items, vintage odds & ends from past trips, and even mirrors for a collected, visually appealing wall!

Picture ledges are great for adding dimension to your curation:

Think outside of the box when it comes to picture placement! They don’t always have to be centered over a particular object 😉

How adorable is this gallery wall made up of kid art?!

Pro Tip: If you’re struggling to find the best placement for your photos/items, the best thing to do before committing to nails is to cut out outlines to scale of what you’re trying to hang. This allows for customization without the mess of having to pull out nails. Some companies, like West Elm, even include these cutouts with their picture frames! Use cardboard paper or even newspaper, and hang with painter’s tape so it’s easy to move around until you’ve found your perfect layout.

We hope this post has inspired you to create a gallery wall of your very own!

You don’t need much to change up your home for the different seasons. Adding simple greenery on a mantle, for example, can totally transform your room for the holidays- include garland, clippings from your Christmas tree, and magnolia leaves and berries from your yard to create a cost-effective, easy to put together mantle-piece!

Tablescaping

The greenery in the Fall/Winter months makes it easy to create beautiful tablescapes- how gorgeous is this eucalyptus and white rose centerpiece?! We love the contrast of the matte black, gold and green together.
